Security

Private records need real boundaries.

A training history is personal. SelfMate keeps the core record on your device, avoids remote accounts, and makes every export an action you initiate.
01

Local-first storage

Workout changes are committed on your device. The app does not need an account or a developer-operated workout server to record a session.
02

Private recovery

The native Apple journal is excluded from automatic cloud/device backup. Export a JSON copy before uninstalling; import it to merge your saved history. SelfMate cannot recover a lost journal for you.
03

No tracking layer

SelfMate includes no advertising, no analytics and no tracking SDK. The app does not create a remote identity from your training history.
04

Explicit exports

CSV and plain text exports use the system share sheet. Data leaves SelfMate only after you choose where to send or save it.
05

Minimal permissions

The workout journal does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone or Health access to perform its core logging flow.
06

A boundary we can explain

Because support cannot access your workout record, it cannot inspect, recover or delete that record for you. Device and backup controls remain yours.
Your next session

Found something that weakens a boundary?

Do not email private workout details you do not want to share. Describe the screen, action and device involved, and we will help without needing your training record.
SELFMATE

Built for the workout, not the feed.

A private gym log that remembers the sets, sessions, and exercise context you want to carry forward.
